Op de Virtual Console kunnen we momenteel 349 games kopen, waarvan negentien Nintendo 64 games wat zeer weinig is in vergelijking met het NES, Mega Drive en SNES aanbod.
Nog opvallender is het feit dat van die negentien games er zeventien werden uitgegeven door Nintendo. Enkel Cruis'n USA en Ogre Battle 64: Person of Lordly Caliber zijn afkomstig van third-party uitgevers en daar zal Natsume alvast geen verandering in brengen. Natsume laat weten dat Harvest Moon 64 door technische problemen niet naar de Virtual Console zal komen. De code overzetten zou een dure aangelegenheid worden en er is geen shortcut.

It would be really time-consuming and long, and we've looked into it, and we've tried to see if there's any way around certain things, but the conversion to virtual console, it's just... I shouldn't say it's never going to come out, but there's just a really, really, very small chance that it would ever come out. Which is unfortunate because we know that for a lot of dedicated, die-hard fans, that's their favorite.
