Lange tijd geleden werd de naam Nintendo door een ieder met respect uitgesproken. Door de komst van de Xbox en PlayStation 2, en het mindere succes van de GameCube, zijn tijden echter verandert.
Een Ubisoft ontwikkelaar lijkt echter voldoende vertrouwen te zien in de Revolution. Op het IGN Insider board zei hij "someone is back in the race", waarbij hij waarschijnlijk naar de Nintendo Revolution doelde.
