Het is niet alleen de Vita die een dieptepunt bereikt heeft. Ook de 3DS heeft de 50+% daling van vorige week het laagste aantal 3DS'en verkocht sinds de pricedrop. Verder is dat altijd een slome week aangezien dit de week na GW is.

Hopelijk komt de PS Vita niet in dezelfde vicieuze cirkel als de PSP:
Niet genoeg games -> weinig verkopen -> ontwikkelaars niet geinteresseerd -> niet genoeg games.

De 3DS had hier eerst ook last van, maar uiteindelijk is dit ook goed gekomen. Hopen op veel aankondigingen op E3 + mogelijk een prijsverlaging, dat zou de Vita goed doen.

@Traxx, die grap is zo oud als de release van de 360 Voor de Wii geloof ik ook een dieptepunt. Tussen nummer 6 en 8 zit wel heel erg veel verschil

Kom maar op met een price cut

Niet alleen in Japan dat PS vita failed:

The PS Vita has been on sale in the United States and Europe for ten weeks now, and despite its terrific features, the handheld has been nowhere near as successful as its predecessor when it comes to the U.K. market. In fact, with just 110,000 consoles sold, the device hasn’t even reached a third of the figures achieved by the PSP in its first ten weeks on sale.


According to Dorian Bloch, business group director with research company Chart-Track, the PSP managed to sell 3.5 times as many units as the PS Vita after ten weeks on sale in the U.K. But he notes that there are two good reasons for that.


First, the PSP was launched during the build-up to the fourth quarter, which includes Christmas and is one of the busiest periods for retail. Whereas the PS Vita was launched “at a traditionally quiet time.” Second, there’s a substantial difference in launch prices for the two devices, with the PS Vita marked at around £232 (approx. $372), and the PSP at £178 (approx. $286).


The PS Vita also had big shoes to step into. The PSP holds the record for the U.K.’s fastest-selling console during its first week, as well as the record for the number of weeks taken to achieve one million sales (24). If the PS Vita continues to sell at its current rate, it will take Sony’s latest handheld until late next year to achieve the one million milestone.

However, key titles are expected to boost PS Vita sales before year’s end. First up is Resistance: Burning Skies, which makes its debut at the end of May. And that will be followed by the likes of Gravity Rush in June, and LittleBigPlanet, Killzone, Call of Duty and more over the next few months.

Altijd leuk mensen die beweren dat PsP niet veel games heeft. Men ziet voor het gemak het enorme software aanbod en talloze toppers maar even over het hoofd.

Zeker in Japan waar er nog om de zoveel weken toppers op uitkomen.

De Vita verkoopt nog erger dan de 3DS na de launch en die had geen games. Ze hadden een pricecut nodig om voor een boost te zorgen en dat zie ik niet gebeuren door Sony. Ze moeten maar snel iets bedenken, want anders vallen de verkoopcijfers straks zelfs onder een console van 6 jaar oud.

Dat probleem hadden de PS3 en de Wii ook in het begin oke bij de Wii was het vernieuwend dus had je niet veel nodig , het gaat goed komen met de Vita .
Ik denk zelfs dat de gecancelde games later alsnog uit gaan komen, wacht maar op wat JRPG's en bepaalde "cult" games en de bom barst los.

Ach ze hebben er geen smaak. Ben zelf een xbox dude. Traxx is duidelijk fanboy.
