De PlayStation Portable dient niet alleen voor videospelletjes te spelen. Op het UMD formaat wordt ook muziek en films uitgegeven. Hieronder vind je weer een lang lijstje met nieuwe UMD films en muziek die in 2005 in de Verenigde Staten verschijnen.
In Japan kwam er al heel wat muziek uit op het UMD formaat. Zo bracht de Japanse topband 'the Asian Kung-fu Generation' al een CD uit op UMD. Nu komt ook Eagle Rock Entertainment met enkele UMDs. Deze bevatten niet enkel muziek maar ook video's en interviews. De volgende UMDs zullen in 2005 verschijnen in Amerika.
