Microsoft heeft vandaag bekend gemaakt dat videogame legende en president van MistWalker Studios Hironobu Sakaguchi naar Microsoft Game Studios komt.
Hij gaat hier aan de slag als ontwikkelaar van RPG games die exclusief voor de next-generation Xbox komen. Sakaguchi is vooral bekend als bedenker van de 'Final Fantasy' franchise, die wereldwijd al meer dan 60 miljoen exemplaren heeft verkocht. Daarnaast was hij Executive Vice President Square Enix Co. Ltd. tot februari 2001
Sakaguchi zal leiding geven aan de creatie van ten minste twee Xbox-exclusive RPG titels die uit moeten komen op de opvolger van de Xbox.
