Evolution Studios werkte de laatste jaren vooral aan de World Rally Championship reeks voor de PlayStation 2. Nu hebben ze ook effectief een contract met Sony.
Evolution Studios heeft nu een contract met SCEE om exclusief voor hen te ontwikkelen. Dat betekent dat Evolution Studios alleen nog voor de PlayStation 2 en andere consoles van Sony zal ontwikkelen.

This strategic alliance allows our organizations to work even more closely together as we prepare for the combined challenges of new formats and expanded game design horizons," commented Phil Harrison, SCEE Executive Vice President Development.
Momenteel werkt Evolution aan WRC4. Die zal in oktober 2004 uitkomen.
