Nintendo werkt hard aan haar nieuwste games en hardware. Los van het hergebruik van enkele van 's werelds bekendste franchises is Nintendo ook op zoek naar nieuwe concepten en legt de namen ervan vast.
De nieuwe naam: 'Nintendo Floor Vision' zou iets te maken kunnen hebben met wat gepresenteerd is op de E3 van 2005. Hier werd namelijk een soort touchscreen voor op de grond gepresenteerd door Nintendo. Het concept, bedacht door een bedrijf genaamd Reactrix, zou nieuwe gameplay mogelijkheden kunnen bieden.
Uit een rapport komt het volgende:

At the Leipzig Games Convention, Nintendo used the same technique to organize a game at their booth. By rolling sort of an oversized stylus over the floor, a simple game was played on the videoscreen.
The most amazing about this, is that it seems that they have created a touchscreen, but without an actual screen as we know it. It just works on your everyday floor, without a hard screen or a projector to come along.
As the site points out, the technique used at E3 and Leipzig was of another company - Reactrix - but that Nintendo may have developed a newer technology and has more plans for it (a Revolution add-on perhaps?).
Het is nog onbekend wat er met de nieuwe naam of technologie gedaan zal worden. Daarover later meer. Let wel, of het concept en de naam iets met elkaar hebben te maken is natuurlijk speculatie.
