De uitgever maakt vandaag de komst van Football Manager 2012 bekend, welke voor de kerst zal verschijnen. Onder de verbeteringen vinden we onder andere het volgende:
Transfers en contracten: In het systeem van transfers en contracten zijn nu ook loyaliteitsbonussen, een betere implementatie van amateur- en jeugdcontracten, een verbeterd transfercentrum en de mogelijkheid om onderdelen van de contractonderhandelingen op slot te zetten wanneer je geen compromis wil sluiten.
Verbeteringen in de scouting: Gekeken is naar echte scoutingrapporten om zo een nieuwe spelrapport te ontwikkelen met daarin een elftalanalyse, tactische informatie en informatie over gescoorde goals en tegendoelpunten.
Verbeteringen in 3D-wedstrijden: Er zijn nieuwe animaties, een gloednieuw toeschouwerssysteem, een verbeterd weersysteem, meer stadions met tevens twee nieuwe camera's (te weten 'achter het doel' en 'de regiecamera').
Verbeteringen in het management: Speelbare landen kunnen zo vaak als je wilt toegevoegd en verwijdert worden uit opgeslagen spellen. Je kunt hierdoor in een land werken aan het begin van een volgend seizoen, zodat je niet in de landen hoeft te blijven die je aan het begin van je carrière hebt ingesteld als speelbaar land.
Aanpassingen in de toon: Er is een nieuwe dimensie toegevoegd aan teamgesprekken en conversaties met een nieuw toonsysteem, waarin je zelf aan kunt geven hoe je dingen wil zeggen. Er zijn zes verschillende tonen, waarbij het loopt van ijskoud blijven tot het tonen van passie, waarbij je zelfs met dingen gooit.
Aanpassingen in het interface: Met een nieuw lay-outsysteem is er meer informatie binnen handbereik bij een hogere schermresolutie. In deze interface vinden we nieuwe filters, een configureerbare kolom, een nieuw tactiekscherm en talloze nieuwe overzichtsschermen.
Een nieuwe inleiding: In deze modus zijn tips te vinden voor zowel nieuwe spelers als ervaren managers.
