Omdat Brütal Legend deze maand verschijnt is oktober al regelmatig omgedoopt tot Rocktober. Ook Rock Band mag even meesnoepen van deze naam.
Deze maand komt namelijk ook het Brütal Legend Pack naar Rock Band 2, bestaande uit een drietal nummers:
- "(We Are) The Road Crew '08" van Motörhead
- "The Metal" van Tenacious D
- "More Than Meets the Eye" van Testament.
De nummers kosten 160 MS Points (of € 1,49) los, of gaan in een pakketje voor 440 MS Points (€ 3,99).
