Square-Enix heeft nu UIEvolution gekocht. UIEvolution is een developer die gespecialiseerd is in software voor draadloze connecties Het bedrijf zal bij Square-Enix USA Inc gaan horen.

The acquisition of UIEvolution provides a unique opportunity to push the boundaries of content delivery and will facilitate a breakthrough in terms of both technology and people for Square Enix," said Yoichi Wada, President of Square Enix Co., Ltd.
Square-Enix wil UIEvolution gebruiken om de technologie te ontwikkelen voor een nieuwe type van entertainment. De UIEngine kan gebruikt worden op een hele reeks van besturingssystemen zoals Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, IRDA, PalmOS en dergelijke.
