De Xbox 360 verscheen in twee versies, de Premium versie met harde schijf en de Core versie zonder. Gamers met een Core versie kunnen op latere datum ook gewoon een harde schijf kopen. Zo heeft Microsoft een aparte harde schijf van 20 Gb te koop voor 100 euro.
Datel wakkert de concurrentie echter aan en komt met een externe harde schijf met een ruimte van vier GB. Tevens werd bekend gemaakt dat er géén save games of Xbox Live downloads opgezet konden worden, en dat was de grootste reden dat Lik-Sang weinig enthousiast is over het product.
