Na de release van Battleborn op 3 mei zal 2K het spel volop ondersteunen. Hoewel de ontwikkeling van de post-launch content nog niet is begonnen, heeft Gearbox wél al een heel duidelijke visie van hóé ze deze content aan willen pakken.

Ze doen dit onder andere door vijf speelbare helden toe te voegen. Gratis. Nieuwe multiplayer maps. Ook gratis. En verder nog gratis modes, updates en community features! Daarnaast komen er ook nog vijf nieuwe add-on packs en een Season Pass beschikbaar waaronder andere nieuwe PvE Story Operation missies in zitten. Alle exacte details kun je in een Blog Post lezen.

• Five new playable heroes will release sometime after launch – completely free – for all platforms, bringing the total roster to 30;
• The first of the five new heroes will be Alani, and more details on her can be found in the full announcement on the Battleborn blog;
• Additional competitive multiplayer modes, maps, balance updates, and community features will also be released in free updates;
• Five new add-on packs will release sometime after launch. Each pack will cost €4,99 and include a PvE Story Operation, exclusive skins and taunts;
