Ontwikkelaar Slighty Mad Studios is bekend van Need for Speed: Shift en diens sequel, alsmede Test Drive: Ferrari Racing Legends. Met hun nieuwste project blijven ze bij de snelle voertuigen.
De studio werkt namelijk al enige tijd aan Project CARS, een simulatie waarvan we reeds eerder leerden dat deze naar de PC en Nintendo Wii U zal komen. Naar nu blijkt is dit echter nog niet alles, het spel verschijnt namelijk tevens op de PlayStation 4, Xbox One en Steam OS. Ian Bell, hoofd van de studio, laat weten:

These powerful new platforms allow us therefore to not compromise on the quality of our vision and ultimately that means players are going to experience something truly breathtaking when they get behind the wheel."
Project CARS moet in de herfst van 2014 verschijnen.
