Middels het PlayStation Plus abonnement werd een betaalde PlayStation Network dienst in het leven geroepen. Betalen doe je uiteraard niet zomaar, hier krijg je wel iets voor terug.
Gamers die tussen 1 september en 5 oktober een lidmaatschap voor een jaar vastleggen krijgen een gratis PlayStation 3 versie van Ratchet & Clank: Quest for Booty. De game verscheen al eerder op het PlayStation Network en werd later opgevolgd door een Blu-Ray uitgave.
Naast deze aankondigingen geeft Sony tevens aan wat ons te wachten staat, te beginnen met de periode 1 september - 5 oktober.
