Jaarlijks reikt de Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences hun AIAS Awards uit. Op 19 februari komen de winnaars, maar vandaag meldt de organisatie reeds de genomineerden.
Bij de winnaars zal LittleBigPlanet ongetwijfeld voorkomen want Sony's nieuwste franchise haalde tien nominaties binnen. Ook Gears of War 2, Metal Gear Solid 4, Fallout 3, Left 4 Dead, Grand Theft Auto IV en Fable II zijn ook grote kanshebbers met meerdere nominaties. De awards worden gekozen door leden van de game-industrie en worden algemeen aanzien als één van de belangrijkste Awards.
