Bij Blizzard Entertainment wordt momenteel gewerkt aan World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King, een grootse uitbreiding voor World of Warcraft.
Met Wrath of the Lich King wordt de Warcraft wereld opnieuw uitgebreid. Lead Designer Tom Chilton onthult dat Blizzard meer landen wil toevoegen in de toekomst. De belangrijkste landen uit de Warcraft lore zijn reeds aanwezig, maar enkele andere omgevingen ontbreken voorlopig. In de toekomst krijgen we dus meer World of Warcraft om te verkennen.
Certainly, the major landmasses that we talked about heavily in previous Warcraft games have already come to fruition, although there are still areas of the game that we've talked about and set up story-wise that we haven't revealed yet. So there's definitely more to go.
