Na Grand Theft Auto IV lijkt de wereld opnieuw op zijn kop gezet te worden met Grand Theft Auto 2, op de website verscheen namelijk een countdown die aftelt naar 22 mei.
Geruchten vlogen het net op waarin te lezen was dat het mogelijk een aftelling was naar een Grand Theft Auto 2 aankondiging voor Xbox Live Arcade en het PlayStation Network.
Rockstar laat nu weten dat de klok ooit gebruikt is voor de aankondiging van Grand Theft Auto 2 voor de PSOne en dat enkel de data veranderd zijn, we hoeven dus geen aankondingen te verwachten rondom de game op 22 mei:
