Recentelijk leerden we dat THQ Nordic was opgericht en dat het bedrijf serieuze plannen heeft blijkt uit een persbericht dat ze de wereld in gestuurd hebben.
De uitgever heeft bekend gemaakt dat ze drie IP's hebben aangeschaft van Mobile Gaming Studios Ltd. en Enigma Software Productions S.L. Het gaat om de volgende namen:
- Sphinx (and the Cursed Mummy)
Sphinx (and the Cursed Mummy) is a third person action-adventure video game inspired by the mythology of Ancient Egypt. It was originally released for Xbox, PlayStation 2 and Nintendo GameCube.
- War Leaders: Clash of Nations
War Leaders: Clash of Nations is a turn-based global strategy game bundled with a real-time tactics game mode for PC.
- Legends of War (Enigma Software Productions S.L.)
Legends of War is a turn-based strategy video game series franchise created in 2010. It was released for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PlayStation Portable.
THQ Nordic benadrukt dat met deze overnames geen grootse bedragen gemoeid zijn, maar dat ze het vooral doen uit liefde voor deze type games.
In ander nieuws heeft het bedrijf bekend gemaakt de Nintendo Switch te zullen ondersteunen en dat er momenteel twee projecten in ontwikkeling zijn voor de console. Om welke titels het gaat is vooralsnog onbekend.
