Japans onderzoeksbureau Media Create zorgt wekelijks voor een compleet overzicht van de Japanse verkoopcijfers. Het geeft ons een inzicht in de verkopen op een wekelijkse basis. Het bedrijf geeft ons nu de verkopen tussen 28 december 2015 tot 3 januari 2016.
Het werd opnieuw rustiger in de Japanse winkels, wat vooral voordelig is voor Sony Computer Entertainment dat een kleine stijging zag voor de PlayStation 4 en de PlayStation 3, terwijl de PlayStation Vita (TV) geen te grote daling kende. Nintendo presteerde minder na kerstmis, met de oude, kleine Nintendo 3DS als uitzondering.
