Nadat The Swapper al op de PC was verschenen leerden we eerder dit jaar dat de game ook naar de PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3 en PlayStation 4 zou komen. Door deze plannen is geen streep gezet, door de releasedatum echter wel.
The Swapper speelt zich af op Theseus, een beschadigd ruimtestation en onderzoeksfaciliteit. Het is een claustrofobische en en donkere omgeving, geheel opgebouwd uit handgetekende beelden en kleimodellen. De speler heeft het doel om een manier te vinden van het ruimtestation af te komen. Om te navigeren kun je jezelf vier maal klonen, waarbij je tussen deze klonen kunt wisselen om diverse puzzels op te lossen.
Bedoeling was om de PlayStation uitgaven in juni beschikbaar te stellen, maar het spel is nu uitgesteld naar 6 augustus. Als reden geeft de ontwikkelaar de volgende verklaring:
quote:"The Swapper is our first indie title to really push the limits of the PlayStation 3 and Vita. We've been able to really throw the power of the PS4 at the game, but we also want to ensure that when the game comes out, it looks great and runs well at 30 fps on hardware that, in the case of the PlayStation 3, is over seven years old."
