Uit Japan kennen we vooral Famitsu maar daarnaast verschijnen er nog veel succesvolle en goede magazines zoals Jump, Dengeki en enkele magazines die exclusief games reviewen op één console zoals Hyper PlayStation 2 en Famitsu Xbox. Van die magazines hebben we nu scores.
Bij Famitsu Xbox geven vier redacteuren een punt op tien, bij Hyper PlayStation 2 zijn dit twee redacteuren. Met 14/20 als slechtste score in Hyper PlayStation, deden alle PS2 titels het redelijk. De score van Grandia III valt misschien wel tegen met maar 15/20, Pro Evolution Soccer 5 doet het met 19/20 echter zeer goed.
