Met The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt lijkt ontwikkelaar CD Projekt RED nu al goud in handen te hebben, veel gamers kunnen dan ook niet wachten tot het 24 februari 2015 is. In de tussentijd blijven we steeds meer over de game leren.
De studio onthult namelijk Gwent, een kaartgame die je binnen The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt kunt spelen op ieder platform. Het spel is bedacht door dwergen en door de eeuwen geen geperfectioneerd, waarbij de ontwikkelaar het omschrijft als 'simplistisch met tegelijkertijd een behoorlijke diepte, iets wat reizigers graag spelen gedurende de lange nachten bij een kampvuur.'

In totaal zijn er honderdvijftig unieke speelkaarten, verdeeld over vier facties: de machtige en sluwe Nilfgaardian Empire, de dappere Northern Realms met hun belegeringswapens, de wendbare en sluwe Scoia'tael en de brutale monsters van No Man's Land. Middels krachtige spreuken kunnen spelers het weer en de units op het spelveld beïnvloeden, waarbij we qua combat ook onze eigen stijl kunnen kiezen, of dit nu van dichtbij of veraf is. Extra krachtig zijn hierbij de Hero Cards, welke voor iedere factie uniek zijn.
Naast de kaartgame kondigt de studio tevens aan dat de Xbox One Collector's Edition unieke, fysieke content krijgt, namelijk het kaartspel zelf en een map van de wereld. De Xbox One Collector's Edition bevat het volgende:
