Ontwikkelaar VIDEOCULT kondigde eerder al aan dat Rain World naar de PC en Mac zou komen maar we kunnen hier nu ook een PlayStation 4 versie aan toevoegen.
Het spel verschijnt volgend jaar op de genoemde systemen en is als volgt omschreven:
You are a nomadic slugcat, both predator and prey in a broken ecosystem. Intense, bone-crushing rains pound the surface and make life almost impossible for most of the year, but the dry season has just arrived. Grab your spear and brave the industrial wastes, hunting enough food to survive another hibernation cycle, but be wary—other, bigger creatures have the same plan… and slugcats look delicious.
Inspired by the aesthetics and simplicity of 16-bit classics, this survival platformer requires fast-paced sneaking; both of your own prey and past the larger predators looking to make you their meal. The impressive enemy AI ensures that each ravenous predator in your path will be cunning, vicious and always hunting you.
