Met Guitar Hero heeft Activision de populairste muziekgame van het moment in huis, met Guitar Hero: World Tour moet dat succes verder groeien. World Tour verschijnt op de Wii, de PS2, de PS3, de Xbox 360 en de PC.
Activision heeft opnieuw enkele liedjes voor Guitar Hero: World Tour bekend gemaakt. Meestal meldt Activision maar enkele nummers per keer, ditmaal maakten ze echter 14 nummers tegelijk bekend.
