Op je naambordje 'Chief Product Officer of Xbox' hebben staan. Velen zullen ervoor tekenen, toch stapt de man die deze functie bij Microsoft vervulde op om een nieuw avontuur na te streven.
Whitten maakt sinds 2000 deel uit van het Xbox team, waarbij hij verantwoordelijk was voor de promotie van de Xbox, Xbox 360 en Xbox One, alsmede betrokken was bij het in de markt zetten van Xbox Live. Aan alles komt echter een einde, hij gaat namelijk dezelfde functie vervullen bij hi-fi en audio bedrijf Sonos. Whitten laat hierover weten:

Het Xbox team moet zich nu verantwoorden aan Terry Myerson, de man die eveneens een leuk naambordje heeft, hij vervult namelijk de functie van Executive Vice President of the Operating Systems Group.
