Na Far Cry 3 kregen we Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. Hoewel dit klinkt als simpele downloadable content was het tegendeel waar, het betrof unieke gameplay in een apart jasje.
Dit jasje zat voor velen als gegoten en de vraag was dan ook lange tijd of we hier een sequel op zouden krijgen. Het antwoord van Alex Hutchinson, creative director van Ubisoft, is kort: Nee. Vooruit, zijn antwoord is eigenlijk iets langer, maar de conclusie blijft hetzelfde:

“That’s was what was cool about [Blood Dragon], it was surprising. It was a great use of the Far Cry 3 base, and had an awesome soundtrack. But no, you won’t get another one of those. But hopefully we’ll be able to surprise you with something just as much.”
