In navolging van MotorStorm en MotorStorm: Pacific Rift ontwikkelt Evolution Studios nu MotorStorm: Apocalypse, het derde MotorStorm deel voor de PlayStation 3. In MotorStorm: Apocalypse verhuizen we naar 'The City,' een stad die geďnspireerd werd door de Bay Area in California. In deze post-apocalyptische stad beleven we een zeer brutale versie van het typische straat-racen, en daarbij mogen we opnieuw allerlei types wagens gebruiken.
