Op de PlayStation 2 herlanceerde Ubisoft de Prince of Persia franchise met The Sands of Time Trilogy, welke extreem succesvol was en zelfs een film opleverde. Nu komt de trilogie terug op de PlayStation 3 met Prince of Persia: Trilogy in HD.
In navolging van The Sly Trilogy en God of War Collection zal ook Prince of Persia: Trilogy in HD drie Platinum Trophies bevatten. Door de verdeling van de Trophies zal de game wel maar 54 Trophies bevatten in totaal. Ubisoft heeft gekozen voor weinig, maar meer waardevolle Trophies per game.
