Vanaf vandaag is Borderlands: The Handsome Collection officieel verkrijgbaar voor de PlayStation 4 en Xbox One. De game bestaat uit Borderlands 2 en Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel, maar verwacht niet dat je direct met de game aan de slag kunt.
Bij het opstarten zul je namelijk een flinke patch moeten installeren, 16GB op de Xbox One en 8.31GB op de PlayStation 4. De update voegt onder andere de Claptastic Voyage & the Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack DLC aan de game toe, welke niet op tijd op de disc kon worden gedrukt. De rest van de patch bestaat vooral uit fixes, zo laat Gearbox weten:

"For The Handsome Collection, a large day-one update will be available giving access to Claptastic Voyage and Ultimate Vault Hunter Upgrade Pack 2. This update will also address various bugs. Although the update is large (as it's adding an entire and brand new add-on campaign), we strongly recommend that all players download it before playing The Handsome Collection."
