De Nederlandse trots Guerilla Games kennen we natuurlijk allemaal van de Killzone franchise, waarbij ze binnenkort hun eerste PlayStation 4 titel afleveren onder de naam Killzone: Shadow Fall. Hun volgende project is echter iets geheel nieuws.
Nu Killzone: Shadow Fall bijna voltooid is betekent dit dat diverse ontwikkelaars binnen de studio hun werkzaamheden hebben afgerond. In gesprek met Eurogamer vertelt lead designer Eric Boltjes dat deze ontwikkelaars momenteel werken aan een nieuw IP die compleet anders is dan Killzone. De studio wil hiermee een vers project realiseren, maar voor verdere details zullen we nog even geduld moeten hebben.

So, about three years ago we went into that phase. The really tricky part about that phase is not trying to do too much. You have a room full of people and they all have a different idea of what they want to change about the game. They can't do everything, especially if you only have two-and-a-half years to build it."
