Geruchten, wanneer je niet erg enthousiast bent om ze te lezen zit je de laatste tijd niet goed op Gamed. Ook vandaag weer een gerucht, ditmaal over een mogelijke nieuwe Sonic the Hedgehog titel.
Geruchten gaan namelijk rond dat er een nieuwe 3D game in de maak is die de werknaam 'Sonic Excusion' draagt. Het spel moet in november verschijnen op zowel de huidige als de nieuwe generatie spelcomputers. Opvallend genoeg is de informatie afkomstig van een bron die vanaf Sonic Unleashed al meermaals informatie lekte, informatie die steeds weer accuraat bleek te zijn.
De bron laat weten dat het spel zal verschijnen op de PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PC, Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U, Xbox 360 en 'Xbox Infinite'. Deze laatste vermelding is opvallend gezien zijn naam, maar verwijst naar de nieuwe Xbox spelcomputer. De bron zou de game al gezien hebben, waarbij de volgende informatie wordt gegeven:

“The first level is called “Shattered Heights” and is similar to the Sonic Generations incarnation of Speed Highway. Very New York themed. We were told the level was five minutes long, but they spent about fifteen minutes showing us parts of the stage’s design, focusing on the lighting and shadows and how lighting was one of the main focuses for this game’s design”.
Sonic Excursion apparently lets players control Sonic, Tails, Knuckles and Amy, and Wentos allegedly saw a second stage called Lunar Caverns, and added that the 3DS version of the game will not be created by developer DIMPS as, “Sega has ended their relationship with them.”
