Met vele bekende franchises als Rayman, Assassin's Creed en Splinter Cell heeft Ubisoft haar handen vol, mede om deze reden openen ze binnenkort een geheel nieuwe ontwikkelstudio.
In samenwerking met twofour54, de autoriteit in Abu Dhabi die over media gaat, kondigt Ubisoft aan dat ze in december een nieuwe studio zullen openen in Abu Dhabi. Enkele van de veteranen bij Ubisoft zullen lokaal talent coachen, waarna er binnen vijf jaar honderd banen gecreëerd moeten worden.
De studio zal samen werken met andere Ubisoft studio's, waarna het de bedoeling is dat ze geheel eigen titels zullen ontwikkelen. Christine Burrgess-Quémard, de Executive Director for Worldwide Studios bij Ubisoft, laat weten:
