Introducing the Forza Motorsport 2 online auction house -- a completely new and in-game marketplace where players buy and sell their one-of-a-kind cars to a vibrant Xbox Live community. Just like Photo Mode or Tournaments, we’ve also folded some of FM2’s Auction House functionality onto Forzamotorsport.net. What this means for FM2 players is that they’re never far from keeping tabs on all the Auction House action when they log into Forzamotorsport.net.
Here are some details about how Auction House will work in FM2. Come to Forzamotorsport.net when you’re away from your Xbox 360 to follow your auctions, or simply whittle the time away by browsing thousands of unique cars online. Just remember, all money spent and earned in FM2’s Auction House is in-game career cash.
Auction House in Forza Motorsport 2:
*Create online auctions and sell your customized rides for big bucks. Dictate the terms of your sale by setting price, length of auction, instant buyout amount… even spend a little cash to mark your auction as a “featured” sale!
*Bid and outbid others for the hottest cars on the market. Since no two cars are alike, even the most common vehicles have unique value and worth.
*Auction House gives both car tuning experts and adept livery painters purpose as they can now build up in-game wealth through selling their masterpieces online.
*The ability to hide car setups online turns tuning into a hot commodity.
*The ability to lock paintjobs to their respective cars makes these customized cars truly one-of-a-kind.
*Every vehicle comes with exhaustive car history data, including total distance and time driven, total winnings, total cost of repairs, number of races, number of owners, number of times sold, and more.
*Every vehicle sold will also come with all its extra (and stock) parts in the trunk.

About Tournaments
| Citaat: | Compete in Official Weekly Forza Motorsport 2 Tournaments
Online tournaments – a community feature that we’ve wanted to implement since the original game on Xbox – will be coming to Forza Motorsport 2 and Forzamotorsport.net. We’ll be talking more about this feature in the coming weeks, but what we can reveal now is that tournaments in FM2 are completely integrated into the online multiplayer design of the game. The process is much like you’d imagine too – players enroll for tournaments in-game and post their qualifying times, after which, they’ll be sifted out into various rooms on a tournament tree, ultimately battling it out for podium spots through multiple rounds.
Each tournament will be held on a strict schedule over Xbox Live, so what Forzamotorsport.net aims to do is to keep players plugged into which tournaments they’re currently qualified to run, which tourneys are currently closed and/or have ended. Additionally, future tournaments also hold the possibility of official sponsorships from auto manufacturers; sign-ups for all sponsored tournaments will also take place on Forzamotorsport.net.
We’re going to be uncovering more layers regarding our online tournament system in the near future. This is just a hint of things to come with Forza Motorsport 2! |

Unlike in the original Forza Motorsport, we’ve also added the option for you to hide your car tuning setups from the community to keep your secret sauce truly secret.
Aside from browsing scoreboards in-game with Forza Motorsport 2, you can come to Forzamotorsport.net for all the latest scoreboard and ranking updates once the game ships in May 2007. Additionally, by signing-in to Forzamotorsport.net with your Xbox Live Gamertag, you’ll be able to personalize any scoreboard to show only buddies from your friends list. We’re also looking into the option of filtering scoreboards on Forzamotorsport.net to show only those who have achieved top times without driving assists or the technique of drafting. |

Geweldige openingspost! Zo hoor je binnen te komen! Top! 
Forza Motorsport 2 klinkt op papier erg goed, maar het hangt voor mij voor 100% af van de besturing van de wagens en de snelheid die er in de game zit.
Met 720p op 60fps lijkt het goed te komen, en dan ziet het er grafisch maar wat minder uit, geen problemen mee.
Hoewel ik nog wat twijfel aan de mogelijke kwaliteit van de game kijk ik er wel erg naar uit, het wordt weer eens tijd voor een lekkere sim |

Forza Motorsport 2 Preview

It's not just a skid anymore; it's a full-blown slip. From a release date originally set for the autumn of 2006 to the short delay to the start of this year, to one now set somewhere in May, Forza Motorsport 2 is slipping back as quickly as broken New Year's resolutions.
But while we're suffering with every delay, the Turn 10 team seem to keep coming up trumps. And for why? Because the competition has come and gone without really threatening their imminent eminence; Need For Speed: Carbon, Test Drive Unlimited and Import Tuner all started first but all have stalled first. Meanwhile Sony have handily cancelled Forza's only arch-rival in the realism and the super hi-resolution stakes, Gran Turismo HD.
But the team aren't merely relying on the incapability of strangers because the delay has seen dramatic improvements in performance over those shown at X06. And so they should, because it was precisely the juddering graphics seen back then that worried us and launched a thousand and one threads in a hundred l33t-speaking flame-filled forums.
And while the fabled 60 frames per second rate has finally been achieved, it hasn't been locked yet. Why? Because the sheer weight of effects being vomited onto the screen and the processor-hogging physics running in the background sometimes drag that nerd-sating number back down to a slightly more mundane, slightly more visible amount. But the team are sure that eventually a buttery smoothness can be achieved, with all the glorious extra gubbins weaving their screen-pleasing magic. We don't doubt them.
The other area to undergo the same kind of forensic examination and reconstruction was the physics engine, which might seem a little unnecessary when the handling already feels wonderful on every surface (including the slabby concrete of Sebring), but again Turn 10 are confident that, with its improved refresh rate and general tweakage, it will represent road racing a whole heap more realistically.
But while the team are banging out lines of C++ like kids keen to get out of detention, one thing they haven't been doing is talking. Instead, an almost total media blackout has enveloped the company since November, and so the two new Live events remain a mystery, as does the new car class system and the events that will supersede the point-to-point races.
In fact, the last person to visit Turn 10 was Microsoft's Peter Moore and after a two-hour question and answer session, he announced the delay. The waiting goes on. And on, and on, and on.

| Ik zag het idd, de beelden vallen me tegen, maar het snelheidsgevoel en de mogelijkheden beslist niet. Wie weet wordt het nog wat! |

Zeker in dit geval niet aangezien er helemaal nog geen reviewcopies zijn verstuurd. Combineer dat met het feit dat het artikel al zo'n week of 2-3 oud moet zijn, dan krijg je een review op basis van een previewbuild. Anyway, voor de mensen die Italiaans kunnen:
