Na Sniper Elite en Sniper Elite V2 verschijnt later dit jaar Sniper Elite 3. Het spel verschijnt dit jaar op de PC, Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 en PlayStation 4, waarbij de laatstgenoemde versie nu al een streepje voor heeft.
Jean-Baptiste Bolcato trekt in een interview een vergelijking tussen de next-gen versies. Volgens de Senior Producer zijn de versies 'praktisch gelijk' in termen van prestaties, maar heeft de PlayStation 4 uitgave toch een klein streepje voor.
