We hebben al regelmatig stilgestaan bij Akiba's Beat, hoewel op dat moment onzeker was dat het spel ook bij ons zal verschijnen. Gelukkig volgt er nu goed nieuws; de game is onderweg naar het westen!
Het spel zal in het eerste kwartaal van 2017 op de PlayStation Vita en PlayStation 4 worden uitgebracht. Uitgever PQube omschrijft de game als volgt:
A haven for music fans, the go-to place for idol obsessives, a one stop shop for household electronics – over the years, Akihabara has meant many things to many people. Now, with dark forces at play, the memories, hopes and dreams of Akihabara’s colourful denizens are becoming a reality. Their delusions are taking physical form and with that, threatening the very fabric of time and reality!
Stuck in a never-ending time loop, it is up to you take on the freakish manifestations of Akihabara in an action RPG like no other! Battle to the Beat, timing your actions to the background music to deal the most damage.
De eerste Europese vertoning is bij de MCM Expo in Londen die vandaag start en loopt tot en met 30 oktober.

Heb erg genoten van Akibas Trip 2, Akibas Beat is totaal ander game dat niet te vergelijken is met Akibas Trip maar de soundtrack als de personages zijn erg awesome waardoor ik waarschijnlijk de japanse versie zou gaan importeren mits de echte release bekent is.
