Omschrijving:
Het verhaal bestaat uit twee delen, een campagne waarin je de film volgt en vecht met de zes grote helden uit de films, en een campagne waarin je zes kwade krachten gebruikt om te vechten. De personages die je hier voorgeschoteld krijgt, zijn wel niet allemaal zo bekend als de helden. Naast Sauron, The Witch King en Saruman krijg je namelijk ook tweederangs personages als Lurtz (een Uruk-Hai die verantwoordelijk is voor de dood van Boromir en daarna wordt verslagen door Aragorn), Grima (De raadgever van Theoden van Rohan) en Gothmog, de Orc die de leiding geeft bij de aanval op Minas Tirith en de derde hoogstgeplaatste vijand is na Sauron en de Witch King. Deze twee campagnes zijn samen goed voor minstens twintig uur speeltijd, maar je zult amper verschillen opmerken tussen de twee.
